See below to view different areas of the hospital. Many of our hospital areas also include specialized equipment which allows us to provide the highest level of care to our patients. This equipment will be highlighted in the areas in which they are located.

Reception Area

Our reception area is spacious and comfortable. The reception desk is immediately accessible from the front doors and our exam rooms are conveniently located off the hallway to the right.

Exam Rooms

Our exam rooms are tastefully designed and spacious, providing a safe and clean environment for examination and consultation.

Laboratory

We have sophisticated laboratory equipment, which allows us to do most diagnostic work here in our hospital. As a result, we can more rapidly assess our patient’s health and can institute treatment in a timely fashion.

Automated Blood Cell Counter

With this tool, it allows rapid analysis of red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets.

Blood Chemistry Analyzer

With this tool, we are able to evaluate blood samples for liver, kidney and pancreatic values, as well as blood sugar, proteins, and electrolytes.

Prep-Treatment Area

Our prep-treatment area is the center of medical action. When a pet first comes into the hospital it is processed in the treatment area. Any surgeries, treatments or diagnostic tests ordered by one of our doctors are placed on the treatment board.

Many procedures are performed in the treatment area, including:

• Venipuncture (blood draws)
• Ear cleanings
• Dentistry
• Pre-surgical exams
• Pre-surgical preparation
• Minor surgeries
• Post-anesthetic recovery
• Inpatient medical exams

Surgery Suite

Our hospital has a fully equipped modern surgical suite. All surgeries are performed under sterile conditions similar to human hospitals. We are committed to constantly upgrade our surgical equipment and monitoring devices using the newest technologies available in veterinary medicine.

All anesthetic procedures are closely monitored by certified veterinary technicians. Our highly trained nursing staff helps ensure your pet’s safety and comfort before, during, and after surgery.

Anesthesia safety for your pet

This monitoring device helps us recognize and avoid anesthetic problems. Each system monitored is programmed to sound an alarm if there is even a small change from normal levels, allowing us to respond before problems develop.

• Body Core Temperature: We measure body core temperature, which is especially important in smaller pets since they can lose significant body heat under anesthesia. All pets are on a special heating pad during anesthesia to maintain adequate body core temperature.
  
• Pulse Oximeter: A small, gentle clip is attached to your pet’s footpad. The clip uses light waves to measure how much oxygen the blood cells are carrying. The pulse oximeter also measures pulse strength and displays the heart rate.
  
• Doppler Automated Blood Pressure Monitor: This piece of equipment uses sound waves and a pressure cuff to monitor blood pressure during anesthesia. The monitor automatically inflates the pressure cuff every few minutes and takes systolic, diastolic and mean pressures. One of the earliest parameters to change in an anesthetic complication is blood pressure.

Radiology

We have excellent diagnostic imaging capabilities at our hospital. A state-of-the-art x-ray machine provides the best range of exposure for any size patient. In addition, there are numerous safety features, which keep our staff and our patients safe. We have an automatic x-ray processor, which allows us to develop radiographs in just a few minutes with consistently high quality.
